I respect AOC, but I’d go further: Trump doesn’t even want his own MAGA base to benefit.

Their loyalty is the product he sells, their suffering is the proof of it.

The cruelty isn’t a side effect of his rule, it’s the point.👇

Uh, being compared to Marjorie Taylor Greene of all people on CNN? Not on my bingo card.

Real talk tho: Keeping our tax dollars here to feed kids, build schools, and provide healthcare instead of sending it abroad to subsidize genocide…should be standard DEMOCRATIC platform.

Decades ago I went "under cover" for the Toronto Star to infiltrate online hate groups. I got an early taste of the bubbling neo Nazi movement in Canada.

One story lingers with me. A Nazi skinhead leader confronted a group of other skinheads...

AOC: And they are able to radicalize a generation of young boys in particular, away from healthy masculinity and into an insecure masculinity that requires the domination of others who are poorer, browner, darker, or a different gender than them.

Gerard Parkes had two iconic roles as a character named Doc.
In the 1980s, he was Doc on Fraggle Rock.
A decade later he was Doc in The Boondock Saints.
But his career is so much more than that, and he remains a beloved actor to this day.
This is his story.

The dog is positioned next to a yellow bowl labeled "SPROCKET" filled with dark food, in a workshop setting with tools, a lamp, and various objects in the background.

Yes, 14,000 preventable deaths from negligently outdated guidance seems like a lot - but saving those lives might give the impression that infection control leaders got it wrong.

Is saving an enormous number of lives worth living in a world where well-connected VIPs can be embarrassed like that?

Wow, a clinical trial manipulated to produce results aligned with the conflicts of interest held by the MD running it, producing misinformation that would endanger patient lives, and then covered up by the university using the excuse of privacy?

Imagine that.

This here is why we’ve suffered the backlash against social justice and DEI and such: the attempt to frame racism as unfortunate but normal while the “woke” are the weird outliers. A fight for what speech is acceptable. Thread 👇🏼
the end is always to define what is acceptable in a society. it's not really a "both sides are doing it" thing, because that is the reason for the existence of the sides. without the it there would be nothing for the sides to do. it is, ultimately, a moral question, there's no getting around it
