I started optimizing the app I'm working on for the Steam Deck and it's such a useful device for game dev since it has low specs and a low resolution.
It feels super rewarding seeing things run properly on it, it makes the "game" feel more legitimate to me than seeing it on the same PC I use for dev

Not excited for Scream 7. I liked what they were building with 5 & 6, but because the shameful firing of Melissa Barrera we're just back to another "the OG cast is back!!", after the 2 previous movies made a point to show Sidney finally being free from all this :(

Darkwood 2 being announced is CRAZY!!!

I set my phone on silent 2 months ago and it's been amazing, I used to feel pressure to pick up right away whenever it would ring, but seeing the world hasn't ended after I missed a call is so helpful, knowing I can just call/text back when I'm free.

Unreal NYC was very interesting and a lot of fun meeting 3D artists irl (which I don't have many opportunities to do), but the craziest part about it was somebody recognizing me as (my wife)'s husband.

Caught Nightmare on Elm Street on TV for the first time and it was much better than I expected (which is not surprising coming from Wes Craven I guess)! I gotta say I feel a bit sad about how funny Freddy became in the sequels, fun vibe but I thought he had a great scary potential

I kinda forgot to mention it but I finished Resident Evil 8, it was so much fun! Wasn't sure I'd vibe with the fantasy theme but it still had great horror, the diverse environments and larger than life vilains were great! The Shadows of Rose DLC was also amazing imo, both scary and fun.

Really liking the difficulty in Cronod: The New Dawn so far. Panicked my way through a fight against 6 enemies, ran out of ammunition, one hit away from dying and killed the last one with a desperate punch as it was about to hit me. Holy moly that was stressful but the relief afterwards was crazy
