he woke before he was supposed to and could feel the geometrical pattern like someone was screwing down the metal but instead it was all just stitches like the kind he would brag about in the neighborhood in his childlike need to be cool. I did it on my bike, he would say.

My first time making Arroz Chaufa (Peruvian Fried Rice), with chicken thighs marinated in a ginger-garlic soy sauce, and slow cooked with sliced red peppers and carrots.

Add scrambled eggs, rice, more ginger, spicy chili crisp, and top with green onions.

This was too easy, and sooo good!
