Rugby League especially Warrington Wolves
and probably some other stuff. It's always our year!
After a pretty average start that was a hell of a play from Warrington #rugbyleague #challengcup

Been too busy with work to post on here for a while. But it's a beautiful day and I'm in the stadium for Wire Vs Hull FC. #rugbyleague #superleague

Matty Ashton is making a career out of grabbing the ball and running and long may it continue #rugbyleague

Wire already looking tougher in defence but we need to be #rugbyleague

My god that's a soft penalty #rugbyleague #superleague

I have a soft spot for Salford but this saga just makes everyone look bad. I'm still not sure how the RFL can approve a takeover where the new owners can't afford to pay staff. I think there needs to be a decision soon, which probably means the salary cap stays and players are sold. #rugbyleague

Made the short trip over to Widnes today. It's great to have this rivalry back even for one game. This should be an easy game for Warrington and a morale boost would be very welcome, but Widnes have little to lose and a point to prove. #rugbyleague #challengecup

The silver lining to this is that it's not for a trophy. You'd hope Warrington adjusted their big game preparation after the challenge cup last year but it clearly didn't work and something needs to change. The best teams lift themselves for these occasions and Wire need to find that and quick.

Thank god for that #rugbyleague

Let's please see some improvement this half. The game might be gone but it's a long season. #rugbyleague

This is frustrating, Wire haven't done much wrong but this Wigan side are so clinical in the big games. #rugbyleague
March 1, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Surely that can't be a try #rugbyleague

That's more like it, we've been lacking that spark in attack but a nice move there from Williams to break through and pass to Walker for the try. #rugbyleague #superleague

Bit of fortune there but we'll take it 6-2 Wire after a dropped ball #rugbyleague #superleague

Glad to see Leyland playing tonight. His last tackle kicks were missing last week #rugbyleague #superleague

Warrington fans missed celebrating a championship with any kind of McDonalds by nearly 20 years. At least rationing had ended the previous summer so there could have been a half decent spread.

Setting off to Huddersfield for the game today. A first visit there for me. I'm predicting a Wire win and a good start to the season but so far this weekend anything can happen. #rugbyleague #superleague

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Salford Red Devils takeover news. It sounds like their future is secure and along with the stadium deal could open up some potential. However past experience means I'll believe it when I see it. #rugbyleague #salford

www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/sport/248786... Interesting interview with Gary Chambers about the shift from prioritising big names to youth. Sam Burgess rightly gets a lot of praise for the improvement last season but I think Gary's new role was an even bigger factor. #rugbyleague #warrington

My local junior rugby league team could use a few more players for the season. Open to boys and girls in year 2, no experience needed and it's a lot of fun. They also have close links with Warrington Wolves. They have other teams from reception up to 18's as well. #rugbyleague #warrington

Leigh 20 Warrington 12. Disjointed and too many errors from Wire but some moments of real quality. It was a similar story last year so I'm not too concerned. Leyland looked really sharp and Alfie Johnson looked comfortable given his lack of RL. #rugbyleague
I'm excited to go and watch this today. Always good to be back watching Rugby. It's also the time of year where you can be full of hope and expectations. I thought I'd write down a few things I'm looking out for this season. #rugbyleague #superleague warringtonwolves.com/news/2025/ja...
