An indie game developer celebrating some wins and doing an intro… of sorts

Thanks! I love Journey. Still trying things out, so never say never!
hey alex, just trying to make gam 🥲
I'm still figuring out how it'll all fit together, but the goal of the prototyping process is to find a way to express that aspect of Buddhist philosophy in digital form.
Yeah, I get the fatigue as well. I think souls-likes (especially FromSoft's) have had very spiritual stories/settings, but I want to make the spiritual journey the focus. In Buddhism, the cycle of reincarnation is a source of great suffering, but it is also the crucible of positive transformation.

The game is about a warrior trapped in the hell realms, their suffering and journey discovering the Buddhist path.

This project means a lot to me, so I will do my best to make something interesting and meaningful for players. 🙇‍♂️

A big thanks to VicScreen whose funding support allowed me to work with some amazing contractors that helped with the concepting process. Their work has been awesome, and I will share more in future!
I’m working on PROJECT NIRVANA, a prototype for a souls-like inspired by Buddhist mythology and meditation.
I’ve been learning Unreal, 2D / 3D art and combat game design from scratch, so THINGS WILL BE SCRAPPY! But I want to start sharing my dev journey, so let's go!

Haha omg, welcome to the club! It's really so much fun, the game has evolved so much since the 90s too, a lot more strategy and fun mechanics to it now.
