Smashing result!

Congratulations Cllr Kevin Smith. Down to earth, very nice, and in tune with the issues in his local area - the ideal choice!

Also good to catch up with peeps

Very nice to be helping clear up my neighbourhood this morning by litter picking 🚮

Filled a whole bin bag!

We'll now be doing this & kerbside cleaning the first Sunday of every month

Hopefully the regularity will help bring the community together even more

People shouldn’t be turned into criminals just because they can’t have a digital ID, or choose not to.

We will fight tooth and nail to oppose these plans for a mandatory Digital ID.

Nigel Farage & Alex Phillips have been awfully quiet about Nathan Gill pleading guilty to eight counts of bribery relating to pro-Russia statements made in European parliament and articles.

Just wanted to refresh their memories about how they were all a team through that period.

Complained again to the BBC over its bias for Reform UK. He's on their news almost every single time, but heard nothing on his hypocritical stamp duty tax dodging 🧐

Hopefully more than a weak, flawed, limited copy & paste response this time...

This is fucking insane. The BBC is adjusting output to “win back” Reform voters while ex-Tory spin doctor, Gibb, sits on its board.

That’s not public service or impartiality - it’s interference.

Bending over for Farage puts the BBC in the gutter with the Daily Mail. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

I've had enough of the BBC's blatant and repeated bias, disproportionately promoting a party with just 5 MPs.

What can we do about it? Do what Brits do best: complain. The more complaints they receive, the more likely they are to do something about it.

I know from friends, family & door-knocking, PIP disability benefits are already dangerously too hard to claim. Yet Labour propose cuts.

It's abhorrent to save from amongst our most vulnerable whilst inequality continues to rise.

I’ve written to Exeter’s MP to make the case & clarify his position:

"800,000 will lose Pip, 150,000 will lose carers’ allowance, and 250,000 more will be in poverty, including 50,000 children."

It's so odd that I didn't see that in the Labour Manifesto.

Good news – we will have the chance to lodge our verdict on the failing Tory administration that has run Devon CC into the ground for the past 12yrs.

Devon Labour & the Tories’ attempt to deny democracy & cling on to power has been rejected.

Bring on 1st May!

Donald Trump will, no doubt, spend the coming months and years undoing Biden's reforms.

Just like previously, Biden reversed the changes made by Trump, who in turn dismantled Obama's legacy.

That's what FPTP leads to: not stability but a chaotic cycle of policy lurches.

Since Labour slashed Exeter's street cleansing budget, regular sweeper teams are restricted to the centre.

This leaves many areas of our city neglected; fuelling build-up of litter, creating a hazard for wildlife, wheels, paws & people.

You can still report littering: exeter.gov.uk/clean-safe-c...

Growing up & living in St James, I'm honoured to stand to be our representative on Devon CC.

It’s a nice place to live - close to the centre, quirky architecture & real sense of community. I want to work with you to make St Sidwells & St James even better - where all our community can thrive. (1/4)

Happy New Year! 🌟

As a friend I met when out delivering this evening said: starting the year as I mean to go on!

Thank you to all those helping deliver in St James! Do get in touch if you'd be up for getting stuck in too in the run-up to 1st May 2025 Devon County Council elections 📣

If the government simply ignores our bill, it will be walking away from the chance to restore trust in politics and making every vote count.

Community initiatives are invaluable. By cutting this vital support Labour are making it harder for them to succeed, reducing opportunities to improve Exeter.

Over the past 2 years, we have welcomed the public consultation process. Now, Labour need to be accountable for what they choose to include - and leave out of - the new Local Plan.

It is therefore shocking Labour have prevented any meaningful Cllr input or scrutiny over its content. 1/2
