I might be the owner of a new lamp soon. I'll let you know if things go according to plan tomorrow.
I'm not anti-democracy by any means, but people need to be more educated in their voting. They're not, unfortunately.
They vote to get rid of someone, and then they become nostalgic a few years later and vote for someone worse.
Also, Americans don't learn. Didn't you know that?
bsky.app/profile/whit... Not to downplay Fetterman, even if people mocking his stroke are assholes, but there wasn't a good choice there.
People are comparing this to another Fetterman situation, not realizing that Fetterman was going up against a Trump darling.
Maybe Nazi memorabilia isn't something you should be proud of?

Big "The Swastika was originally a peace symbol" energy.
I really wish the people defending Graham Platner would think of how similar they sound to the people defending Elon Musk after he threw up a Heil Hitler.
Unfortunately, that's par for the course with a lot of modern-day activism...
I should really get to bed. I'm most-definitely sleep-deprived from yesterday.
Election choices aren't binary this early in the game, either.

If it's really such a poor choice, then remove it. Simple as that.
Also, this isn't a "Mamdani VS Cuomo" situation. There are other people to choose from on the ballet.

Funny how those "purity tests" never seem to factor in Jewish concerns, huh?

Also, how hard is it to remove a swastika tattoo if you're embarrassed by it?
Honestly, my parents' study group has always sounded fascinating. They, apparently, learn some really diverse stuff, even hiring my older brother to teach them something Jewish once.
My parents' learning group has opened up one of their meetings to family members. So, naturally, I said I'd be interested in participating.
Because if it is, then I'd rather that debate be left with the Desi community. Much like the N-word with black people.
I'm missing something here, aren't I?

Was this one of those "The Swastika was originally a Hindi symbol!" conversations?
And yeah, true to what you've heard, D&D isn't something that you play seriously. It's meant to be goofy, lighthearted fun.
Having played through my second ever campaign, and completing my first, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was dry at points, but that's a small price to pay for its chaotic unpredictability.
It's also worth noting that D&D has a lot of moving parts, so that adds to a campaign's length.
For those not in the know, D&D campaigns rarely, if ever, get finished. Especially short ones.
So we had to modify the game several times and revise the schedule, but I finally finished a D&D campaign this evening.
