CBC is digging into the Carney–Smith pipeline deal. One million barrels a day and a lot of political theatre. CBC is asking the real question: climate impact.

Is this a step forward, or just the same old pieces rearranged while we ignore the environmental cost?

Lots of chatter as to budget line items that could be cut.
Less talk about line item revenues-other than a general mill rate increase. How about that tax increase on parking lots and vacant lots? What about increasing taxes for those who are in the NIMBY club (you don’t want it? You pay).

I thought of the Regina #yqr bypass when I read this article. Wouldn’t it have saved #skpoli a whole bunch of money if they would have did what the feds are doing. That is a right of first refusal on property in the bypass right of way.

what a terrible response. Why is someone so incompetent as Cockrill in this important position?

This is an important cautionary tale for the negative financial impact on families power bills because of AI power consumption.
Average electricity cost increase since Jan:

Missouri ⬆️ 37%
Iowa ⬆️ 30%
North Dakota ⬆️ 30%
Oklahoma ⬆️ 30%
New Jersey ⬆️ 27%
Nebraska ⬆️ 25%
Montana ⬆️ 25%
Wyoming ⬆️ 23%

NATIONWIDE ⬆️ 11%

Instead of working to lower costs, Trump is boosting power-hungry AI data centers.

ANALYSIS | Some wins for multilateralism at the G20 — and big questions about its long-term future | CBC News
The G20 summit is supposed to be the pinnacle of multilateralism: the idea that nations can co-operate, compromise and co-ordinate for the greater good. But a lot has changed in the past two decades.

"It doesn't make sense to have more than one type of fighter jet" is an odd argument to hear from a country that has more than 40 different brands of automobiles on the road, all of which have to be serviced separately and whose parts are not readily interchangeable. #Gripen #F35
