Elordi is fantastic as the Monster though - a wonderful physical performance even if GDT retreats to familiar and well-worn comforts with his depiction. All the stuff in the arctic also great. Gorgeous set and costume design. I just don't know why this had to be another Sins of the Father story

GDT's Frankenstein - full thoughts coming on WhatCulture Horror later but I found it to be such a frustrating mixed bag. Some bizarre expansions on Shelley's text that end up distracting from the timelessness of its central throughline, and I Simply Have No Idea what Oscar Isaac was doing either

Prime Video may be the worst streaming service going, if only for how many titles are incorrectly labelled.
Put on Lair of the White Worm and the film that actually plays is 'The Limey'.
