I’m a bit conflicted.
The ballroom is like way the fuck down on the list of shitty things he’s done. So I’m tempted to scold everyone for losing the plot.
But the symbolic power of it is a major blunder on his part. Big time fuck up.

Instead of bulldozing the ballroom on day one, I’m going to host a party. Everyone gets to bring hand tools of their choice: mauls, chisels, mallets, claw hammers, etc.
