starting this at choir tonight in time for Christmas. it was in a film that came out like 20 years or something. but nothing beats a Joni Mitchell ❤️❤️ second time I'm singing this with a choir this time as mixed voice should be gorgeous

A meal in 4 parts: I was really feeling the need for something nostalgic, this was a meal I used to have as a kid Mince and "doughbuoys." tried some experimenting adding stuffing mix into the dumplings and used my mini chopper to chop all the veg really fine.

recipe:
500g mince beef
1 white onion,
2 carrots
2 celery sticks
1 punnet of mushroom (250g)
frozen peas
herbs: rosemary thyme 1tsp 2 bay leaves
1 tbsp yeast extract
2 beef stock cube
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
splash red wine
salt & pepper

"doughbuoys"
60g suet
1 packet of stuffing mix
self raising flour
cold water

brown off the meat, drain excess fat if not using lean mince. take of heat and cook off the "mirepoix" until soft add meat back in and mushroom season, add herbs and other ingredients. simmer on the hob while preparing dough.

mix ingredients for doughbuoys with enough flour and cold water to make a sticky dough. divide into 8 balls.

add frozen peas to mince and transfer to an oven proof dish and place the balls into the mince mix. place into a preheated oven 180c until the tops of the doughbuoys are golden
