If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

An important coda to your piece about social connection. Algorithms pervert what we see. They are designed to encourage ‘engagement’ (usually through rage-bait) to sell more advertising and make the site owner more money. They are corrosive and should be regulated or banned.

Makes perfect sense. It’s a very delicate area and now most people (architects, M&E engineers, installers) won’t touch it with a bargepole without a fire engineer signing everything off.

As I have said (tongue in cheek) before, the way to do it is to separate the making safe from the refurbishment. Step 1, strip out the wiring, the gas, the asbestos, move the archives etc. Then, when they’re sitting in a freezing dark building see how quickly MPs agree to refurbish it.

Apart from anything else, "Abigail Spanberger" is a great name. If you're lucky enough to have a surname that's a dactyl and you don't give your children a first name that's also a dactyl you're wasting everybody's time.
