Here's a crazy climate fact—12.5 to 13.5 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent fuels are emitted per year in order to make plastic. In order to make plastic, oil and natural gas need to be transported to different facilities through train, plane, or pipeline,which releases up to 13.5 mil.
