Found these mystery objects in the water below the Fair Oaks Bridge during a scuba cleanup dive.

Does anyone know what they are? Fish tags of some kind?

Circular silvery tags attached to fabric or thread backing. But what are they?

Bluesky: what are these? We found hundreds of these translucent, membraneous discs on the beach near Jenner. Definitely part of a (formerly) living thing. Jellies? Molluscs?

Neurobiology of language: talked about where in the brain language was centered. We actually got to hold and touch brains, and interview someone with aphasia. The poet in me marveled at how weak tissue and electric impulse controls language.
