also... endlessly haunted by the P5 name pronounciations bc of how clear it was that apparently the pressure Will be on the second vowel no matter what every single time always forever.
I don't get it either, even if not "correct" wouldn't it still be more right and also easier to just not...

actually my main point was just. I've noticed native english speakers get endlessly hung up on the way something is spelled to the point they just refuse to try a pronounciation that doesn't make sense to Their spelling. pronounciation becomes so much easier if you just Only listen...

also cursed by how many different ways ppl say Aegis Rim like ok I get it I also would not have pronounced it like that initially. but like I played the game and they tell me the way to do it multiple times.

like ok I don't expect you to be able to pronounce hygge or whatever I'm not unreasonable. but no matter how much you say the g in a way that's similar to j and not the kind like in 'good', it does not make it any less wrong. if not on the vowels then at least try on the consonants...

I'm not good with pronounciation, it's hard to make sounds you've never made before. but omg it is Not that hard to listen and just give it one real attempt.... apologize for the result all you want but you gotta at least try first...

like make up their own pronounciation of a word when asking how it's actually pronounded and then not listen to you at all and say the exact same thing, like they just didn't wanna hear they were wrong. sometimes with languages you seriously gotta look away from the letters and just listen

that Only a native english speaker would. I would get it so much if this was only in text, like surely I would pronounce it like this too if I didn't know better. but I do. I played the 100 hour video game where they kept saying it. and idk it's smth esp americans do all the time irl too

and some things aren't pronounced right in the source material either and that sucks but I get it. what I do not get. is when ppl will play a like 100 hour video game with voice acting where smth is pronounced a certain way and then insist on saying it in a way -

lrt sorry I gotta talk shit about this so bad bc I've noticed this thing where native english speakers in particular just cannot grasp that letters will sound different in a different language. some things are hard to pronounce and that's fine
