Behind them, one can see a camp set up near a destroyed tower. To the left, two soldiers stand by a campfire, one of them polishing his sword. To the right, another group of men sit in a distant white mane tent. Two of them argue about something while the third has leaned his arms on a table and rested his head on 'em. The whole piece is framed by flowers on the side, running hares inside a pattern on top, and curly ivy at the bottom. In the uleanileft edge is depicted an anvil, and under it intertwined in flowers lying sword. The work is done in the warm color of the sundown hour
