🎵 Sing with me, sing for the year,
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears,
Sing with me, if just for today,
maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you awayyyyyy! 🎵
The clock strikes twelve
And moon drops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Miss Carrie Nurse and Suzy dear
Find themselves at Four Winds Bar
It’s the nexus
Of the crisis
And the origin of storms
Just the place to hopelessly
Encounter time and then came me…

Fargo S1 E10

There's a two second shot (right around 5m11s) of a customer in Lou's Cafe who looks just like Bill Raymond, who played "the Greek" on The Wire. Uncredited.

Fargo and the Wire are now forever connected, in my mind.

#ttrpg If your Druids and Clerics don't dress like this, why are you even playing?! 😂 (Fits from Miss Universe, apparently).

#boardgames We played two games of Doomlings and a game of Port Royale last night. Went for short, easy to learn games as a bit of a change-up from our usually more complex fare.

#ttrpg World Building Fact

Elven blood is basically glitter suspended in a clear colourless solution.

Y'all are playing Dispatch and I'm still out here waiting for Champions, due in 1992! #vaporware

(Seriously though, I enjoyed Dispatch very much).

The greatest failing of the English language is that "palindrome" isn't one.

It’s been a few months now.

I cannot fall asleep with my head resting on The New Pillows.

I sleep long, deeply, and well while my head is on The New Pillows.

The #sleepAcrobatics required to pull off the second state almost escape me every night.

I've played a lot of superhero #ttrpg games over the years.

When it comes to "knockback"--super attacks sending the opponent flying backwards--I don't think any game handled it as smoothly (and entertainingly) as Champions/HERO.

What movie villain is a horrible "person", but an absolute joy to watch on screen?

Sentinel Comics RPG is one of the games I'm too cowardly to run*

Still, I had an itch to review it, take a second look. And their publisher is having an absolute fire sale on all their games. Which makes me a bit sad.

*These days, games with a lot of fiddly bits. I tend to run simpler things now.

Ah, for the old days, when we used to sing the Natural Anthem and recite the Oath of Alignment each morning.

I don't recommend going 14+ hours without power.

Google tells me it's King Tut Day.

My Aunt took me to the exhibit when it was in Toronto (at the ROM). I still have the book filled with colour plates.

The golden sax player in the Steve Martin video is "Blue" Lou Marini, who you might recognize from The Blues Brothers. youtu.be/FYbavuReVF4?...

Today is taking fucking forever.

It's not even half-past-Nine yet.

I hate Time.

Now please excuse me, I'm going out on my balcony to yell at the clouds.

I mean, there's millions of people in the city. I bet you could find more than just one if you even tried.

I thought it was supposed to be Alt History.

But The High Men in Newcastle seems to be about some British stoners.

J World: Rebirth. Standard Jurassic sequel pattern. Some kids/family are stranded while some mercenaries try to recover something. And every time you write that script it gets worse.

As "Adventure Comfort Food" it's okay. Not a good movie, though.

I could have watched Ravens/Dolphin but why...?
