Starting my cut in earnest this week. Planning to hit my goal of looking like I did in 2012 by around XBIZ and AVN. Or at least close.

Technically started two weeks ago … but it was a slow easing into it till today when it’s kicking it into high gear time.

Sorry, films today aren't the same. I see people (myself included) being gaslit daily about this online but, no, sorry it has changed.
We've lost so much.
Btw, there are somedays that I think Paul Newman's performance in this is the GOAT in film history.
Today is one of those days...

Malice is a cool ass person and this is horrible to hear. I loved working with her for the AltPorn awards every year. If you can help her, please do.
Hey friends,

Malice McMunn was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She has stepped away from the industry which she has been a part of for many, many years - sharing her GFM for donations. This was created by her sister Christy.

Reminder: This vast consolidation of wealth and power at the top has not been due to neutral market forces.

There’s no such thing as a “free market.”

It is designed.

It either advances public purposes or it serves the monied interests.

Who controls what IP isn't what's at play with this new merger: it's about who gets your attention & dollars. It means fewer shows & fewer movies as not to step on each other's dicks.

1/3 of Hollywood is already out of work from past consolidation. How many more voices will they run out of town?

After a banner year of Warner Bros putting unique, filmmaker driven original movies into theaters and getting giant audience turn out for them, the corporation that now owns them would like you to know that actually you didn’t like this and that what you really wanted was to watch at home.

“Consumer friendly” is just Ted’s way of saying that he wants people to subscribe to his services and avoid giving theaters a significant piece of the pie. Absolute garbage that he’s trying to spin as a positive for anyone but Netflix.
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos says the streamer has no "opposition" to releasing Warner Bros. movies in theaters, but hints that "windows will evolve to be much more consumer friendly."

I shot this image of Kumi circa 2000 in Las Vegas outside of some small fetish convention close to the airport. This wasn’t a planned shoot; it was just her and I going outside during her cigarette break and taking some shots. Photographed with natural light with my Mamiya 645.

So the reward for a company having an almost miraculously aspirational commercial and artistic year at the box office is to be bought by the one company with the most incentive (and seeming desire) to wipe movie theaters off the map? We’d almost be better off if Warner Bros.’s 2025 slate had tanked.
The Cold, Cruel Logic Behind Netflix Potentially Buying Warner Bros.
Buying one of the five remaining theatrical heavyweights for the purpose of removing the most aspirational theatrical distributor from the board would be in line with the streamer's recent history.
