In paired settings, FlowEO consistently outperforms image translation baselines both on perceptual metrics and on downstream tasks (classification, segmentation).

It works especially well for SAR-to-optical translation, despite performing flow matching in StableDiffusion's 3 latent space.

Rhode Island 24K Topo Maps

I have wanted to make a version of this map for some years now. TopoView was a big help in downloading the 24k topos. Clipping and stitching the 38 topos was a pita even with batch processing. I crashed QGIS a few times. lol

A screenshot of text from the linked article that reads, "I worked out a way to pinpoint which farms had been infected by taking a close look at the notices the USDA publishes detailing regions restricted from exporting poultry products due to bird flu outbreaks. These notices describe a 10-kilometer radius around an outbreak to avoid revealing the actual site. They do give the northernmost point of the circle, and I found that plotting 5 kilometers south of that point revealed the site of the outbreak."

Proposal 5: Create a Digital City Map Currently, each borough president is in charge of maintaining paper maps of each borough. The maps are the official record of street lines and street grades, and the locations of public parks and open space. A “yes” vote would require the city to consolidate and digitize the map under the Planning Commission. A “no” vote would keep the current map system in place. Unlike the three housing-related proposals, this one has seen little opposition.
