This year, I am Thankful for my family. Especially my little one. She reminds me every day why I get up.

I'm also thankful for my close friends. Without them I would not be able to do The Fortunate Few which releases it's first two videos Saturday 11/29/25.

Played the first game of #BattleTechGothic and it's all right. The addition of 'infantry' and 'battle armor' and 'mechs' that are organic but augmented with some unique but simpler weapons ended working pretty well.
Didn't get too far, cause we were deciding on what units to play with.

Fire Martial Bill (I think I'm def better at backstroies than painting, but watchu gonna do?) yeah, I know it's "Fire Marshal", but it's a Battlemech, aka, a martial unit. Lemme has my wordplay. Ain't got much else going my way atm. Anyhow, on to "Bill", here. FMB is a Clan Invasion era 5 series Hatchetman that has been extensively modified by it's pilot, one Seamus "Jimmy" Ó Ciardha, a member of Hatchy's Helpers, during the late Dark Age era. While trained as a mechwarrior, Jimmy's original MOS was as a 12M in the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces. After Grey Monday, in the Chaos, Jimmy would take his family Hatchetman and join the Stormhammers. After seeing the utter devastation wrought on civilian and miltiary alike, by Malvina's Descant first hand on Skye, he would leave the Stormhammers in disenchantment, and eventually land with Hatchy's Helpers, looking to heal, instead of destroy. Clad in 12 tons of Heat Resistant Armor, "FMB" was also had it's original 10 SHS switched for doubles, and been restrung using prototype Triple Strength Myomers. Aside from it's hatchet, all the original weapons are stripped, and in their place a Fluid Gun, with a 3 ton external "ammo" tank on the back. In the left arm, it carries a re-engineered medium laser, to take advantage of it's ability to cut thru various materials with ease, to use as cutting torch. The hatchet itself appears to be taken from a later model, possibly a 7S. Buried in it's left breast is a specially tuned & modified Bloodhound Active Probe, reconfigured to help look for survivors in a SAR role. And in the mechs' "belt buckle", Jimmy had a paramedic gear locker installed, complete with portable defibrillator, and other such gear. While largely pacificist now, Jimmy has been known to unleash the beast upon those who are harming innocents, and more than one of Malvina's Mongols last sight was a Firefighter helmet adorned Hatchetman wading out of the flames to sink it's massive, red hatchet in their cockpit.

Proof of Life. Discharged today. Will avoid getting into the weeds for now, as I really do not have all the information myself, and don't want to be wildly inaccurate. Was in the middle of a full blown 2 day migraine, on top of the effects from the Hypertensive Crisis* and Tachycardia rollercoaster, so my Spanish was not up to the full details. I already apparently misunderstood at least one thing. Best I know, something triggered my BP to spike to over 200/120, 30ish minutes later at the Clinic was in tachycardia, with very stroke adjacent symptoms, they stabilized me enough to ship an hour and a half away, because Manzanillo apparently doesn't have an MRI that they could fit shoulders into. (Cue "the more you know") Spent last 2 days there undergoing a full barrage of tests, and them trying to get my BP stable at "only" 130ish resting. Home now, migraine medicine taken, resting. Will do a follow up with the local Doctor to hopefully actually find out the details, and the plan going forward, tomorrow. So at least I'm flat on my ass, at home, with my kitty, instead of racking up more $2000 a night stays in Colima. * Kevin Dub is there a better term for that? Doesn't even sound accurate how I stated it. Anyhow, I'm down and out for several days to weeks, it appears, and I'm going to need help recovering from this more than ever before. The 3d printed minis look good, but there are some issues I run into when painting. The lack of 'seams' between the major armor plates makes it hard to define shapes in some spots.
Still, I think these came out pretty good. Gonna need a new black marker soon - the tip is gone. #BattleTech

Whelp. Hurdle 1 of oh so many to getting my #BattleTech / #MechWarrior RPG campaign up and running is mostly done with the completion of some character sheets and a GM Screen.
