I walked him through the steps, the issue of data loss, benefits and drawbacks, and flagged the different folks in his family who could help him should he run into issues.

In my latest bit of #Linux mischief... a colleague of mine (cleaning supervisor at work) complained that his ten year old personal laptop is taking 10, 15 minutes to load Windows 10.

I handed him a Linux Mint installation media to swap out the operating system. #LinuxMint

(Personally, I feel the negative partisanship -- "I'm voting against X," killed the vibe of the election. Not a lot to vote *for*, from any of the candidates. Also, didn't help that progressives were running cross purposes the entire election. :/ )

Last night, I was a losing candidate in the Ward 8 Calgary municipal election.
