Fuck it. I’m just going to take the videos & graphics that show what our politicians say and explain how id use them with elementary kids to teach media literacy, emotional literacy, and critical thinking. Use it as you like — or not.

I’m not comprehending why a civil enforcement organization — not criminal — needs weapons. Period. Isn’t that why they ask for an assist from local police, FBI, ATF, DEA? When there IS actual suspicion and evidence of criminal activity? What a bunch of weak little people who want to play dress up.

I don’t know who needs to be reminded of this, but the President of the United States is a public servant and so are senators and representatives. They’re paid in American taxpayer money and votes. They work for you. Not the other way around.
Their arguments become less coherent and cogent by the day.
Most educators assign homework for superficial reasons that they don’t even full-heartedly believe in. Ask yourself WHY you believe that reason to be necessary for homework.
If you have to put this much planning into assigning homework, then it’s not practice, it’s instruction. My suggestion… before ever assigning one signal piece of homework, critically examine your policies and beliefs. Tear them apart and see if they hold up to scrutiny.
Traditional homework policies can unintentionally penalize students with disabilities. Here’s how to design a more compassionate system. 📝

Designing Homework Policies That Don’t Punish Disability
Traditional homework policies can unintentionally penalize students with disabilities—but teachers can change that.

Just to note… this doesn’t mean there has to be acceptance of the insurrection act being enacted that it is with merit.
Elaborating b/c there's a lot of misunderstanding on this.

Insurrection Act does nothing except you can then use soldiers as cops. They can enforce laws, but they're the same old laws. It doesn't suspend the Constitution. No martial law, no closing courts, no removing state officials, none of that.
Even if he did, which I'd bet is likelier than not, none of this is true. The Insurrection Act is not a declaration of martial law. It doesn't close the courts. It doesn't suspend habeas corpus. It means you can use the military to enforce federal laws, but the laws themselves remain the same.
I mean…it is accurate. Is that, or is that not, precisely what is happening? Maybe some day 1/3 of the population will realize it, too.
Again … Republicans do not work for their constituents. States led by democratic legislators are doing everything they can to make sure their people have their basic needs taken care of. Also to note … those same states are the ones that have more tax revenue to do so. You get what you pay for.

Reminder to disable biometrics on your phone before attending any protests. If police ask for the passcode, you do not have to provide it.
500K women have ‘left’ the workforce since JANUARY. News claims it’s because of rising costs of childcare. Let us not forget that women have been the greatest casualty of layoffs & firings since then.
I’d love a job where I can choose every Friday to just not show up the following week AND STILL GET PAID MY FULL SALARY.

They are arriving because of the mass mobilizations and they have figured out that Twitter isn't going to be the main space to monitor activity.

If you think that No Kings is a paid rally, go get a bag.
I’ll add that I’m currently at an event at Gillette Stadium and the World Cup players and attendees would be well-taken care of.
Trump keeps threatening to “take away” the ‘26 World Cup from Boston for “safety” but never mentions the part where Boston has recorded some of its safest years in decades and the games are at Gillette in Foxborough, a 45-minute drive away. Geography and honesty aren’t his thing
Yes, it is partisan. The Republican speaker of the house is refusing to swear in a duly elected Democratic Congresswoman. One person deciding to nullify the will of the voters.
What about able-bodied congressional reps that refuse to work?
Nothing says great marriage like I now have an eating disorder because of my spouse’s beliefs.

If it's paid protests, why not have people go undercover, sign up, get the paystub and expose it? It'd be the easiest sting operation in the world.

The willing idiocy
Sean Duffy: "The No Kings protest, Maria, really frustrating. This is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question who's funding it."

If your government says there's too many autistic kids, then eliminates the entire special education department, they don't care about autism, or kids, or education.
— Large businesses will also get higher premiums.

Every insured person will have higher premiums, deductibles, and copays. One thing MTG was right about — all of those went up after the ACA. But it has more to do with greed than the ACA itself.
