Only the Void Stands Between Us out now on Silver Current Records | The Fact of Resonance @FordhamPress | co-editor at The Faulkner Journal | Former President of the New School AAUP https://linktr.ee/juliebethnapolin
The New School is now a place where students cannot major in History, Anthropology, Sociology, Global Policy & International Affairs, Global Studies, Urban Studies, or Environmental Studies. And more pauses, closures, and mergers coming down the pike this week. The future is uncertain.

Really cool how we don’t need or want this and no one asked for it. This will be the straw that turns me completely back to asking them to turn in work on printed paper which will annoy them (but has always been my wish)

Julie Beth Napolin :: The AD Interview

Julie Beth Napolin delivers a singular debut, one that cuts new trail through the cosmic and the colloquial wilds while adding to the amorphous canon of psych-folk.

@voicesbend.bsky.social’s Only the Void Stands Between Us is @bandcamp.com’s album of the day!

“Only the Void…occupies a place that exists somewhere outside of time & space. It inhabits a musical continuum where the cosmic, earthbound, ancient, & eternal meet.”

I am really looking forward to this show with my old Citay bandmate, Ezra Feinberg, and Zach Layton. Bob Bannister will join me on guitar. The Luncheonette in Greenpoint is not long for this world, so it's a chance to soak up this special community. Dress warmly!

Thanks, Heathen Disco! "She carves a sizable swath of song out of an instrument that sounds as if it's 16 feet long, weighs 300 pounds,... and requires the blade of a hatchet for a pick. ...The bicoastal bliss of somebody who's seen something instills this whole record with a peaceful confidence."
