our sequential story opens with a nameless, scruffy man skewed against a chair, bemoaning his empty belly with the emphasis of an f-bomb. apple pie—a stalwart woman with glossy, marmalade hair—wears a mild expression of disappointment, and approaches to admonish his choice of words. he initially laughs it off, even teasing her for such an antiquated viewpoint. she then towers above him, dimming him beneath her shadow, and the atmosphere darkens into something foreboding... 1. "man...i'm so fucking hungry." 2. "you shouldn't use such vile language. it's rude." 3. "haha, isn't that a little old fashioned? you gonna make me bite a bar of soap? 4.
