I don't want to discuss it, only to vent about what I feel behind the scenes. It's not even that my art looks so weird, there are just fantasy animals which are only weird for being fantasy (and too thin, haha), but inside I often feel like a total freak of an artist :')

Of course there are people who made me feel heard, understood and welcomed, who motivate me to believe that my weird art can be accepted with all its personal weirdness, that it has the right to be shared. I am infinitely grateful to them! And of course I'll try to stay.

Everything about social media is build either for professionalism or for memes, quick and superficial contact, numbers, random shitposts and clickbaits. It makes me feel miserable, like I don't even enjoy being an artist, and that almost nothing about sharing art feels like it's for me.

I often feel "too weird" because I'm not interested in art professionaly, in likes/followers, wide audience and recognition, and not even in silly jokes and fun for the sake of fun. I create only for personal aspect of it, and share for expression and connection, and... I feel like an alien.

The Black Pyramid is actually his story, and even though Atram is the main character, Vewis is a storyteller.

And I realized that I don't want to know what he chose, not feeling ready to know, sharing Vewis' conflicting feelings...

Old Vewis facing a choice - to share his story, or to let it dissapear in oblivion. The story which he kept in secret for years, now being the only one left to know and remember...

The Koties (these felines) share their thoughts through the Towers (obelisks), which serve as their mental libraries, storing the memories of many. Sensing their death, they have a choice: to share their full story and soul with the world, or to fade into oblivion. The Towers can be seen as a form of eternal life after death, and each of them decides whether to enter it or disappear forever, leaving only fragments of their thoughts, once imprinted in the Tower's network or shared by other's impressions. Vewis always had troubles with the Towers, with many overwhelming voices that scare him too much to speak, and I think the very idea of having his imprint in it terrifies him.

And now, it is time for Vewis to finally decide whether he wants to tell his full story or let it dissapear with him. He is alone for a long time, Atram is no longer here to support him, to help him see the pros and cons, to suggest something. Now, it is entirely Vewis' decision, and he does not know what to do. Decision-making has never been his strong side; he is used to trust his feelings and is unable to make a choice when they are so conflicting.

It is drawn as a pair to this one, showing a young Atram in a similar but opposite idea. Unlike Vewis, Atram was fascinated by the Towers since childhood, feeling no fear towards them. He wanted to grow into a Tower Keeper and worked hard to achieve this dream ~

I used a really old crappy sketch (from 2015) as a base, trying to fix and finish it. The whole thing is just abstract/meditative, with a vibe of my old art. Still love to draw things like that.
