I don't really know what kind of point I am trying to make here, but a couple years ago I played a game called Anode Heart and despite some rough edges I had a lovely time with it. I've never spoken to anyone who has heard of it, let alone played it and that's fine. My memory of the game is for me.

Attaching artistic value to popularity is a pretty pointless endeavour. Things are often popular for a reason, but that is never going to be 1-to-1 with artistic value because it's so subjective, especially in a medium like video games where game mechanics add an additional vector to taste.

If you're into niche stuff (like I am) sometimes you've got to accept that it's niche. Like I get that it's natural to want everyone to see what you do in something and to see something you love do crazy numbers, but sometimes it's just gonna be you and the other diehards and that's fine.

Final Land of the Lustrous volume releases in english this week (finally) so its time to give the series a full reread. The last three volumes will all be brand new to me so I'm both excited and terrified to finally see this story through to its end.

Saw the Chainsaw Man Reze movie. It was pretty good. Felt more like what I wanted out of a CSM adaptation than the 1st season of the show.
