Remember: USE YOUR REFERENCES! And don't reference others' artwork (unless it's a tutorial made specifically for teaching, and even then combine it with references) because you will end up repeating their mistakes.

Artists never stop learning. Keep working at it, use those refs, do studies!!

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.

I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

I finally made a brand-new updated elemental wheel for Aethyr with its new balances!! Based around the 'cores' the gods crafted their magics with; read about it here:

A wheel describing all of Aethyr's elements and their balances. Balancing info here: The first four elements created - Luxia (light), Umbra (shadow), Aeria (wind) and Aurata (metal) - were formed of cores that served as opposites. Light to balance darkness, and wind to balance metal. However, both Celestial Gods turned their focus to a different type of balance after these, and the next resulting five pairs were crafted of similar cores. The cores of Ignia and Anima are known as 'flare' cores; that of Aquaria and Sanguia were liquid cores; Glacia and Chrona were formed of 'cold' cores; Natura and Toxina share a 'life' core; and both Voltia and Phobia share a 'shock' core.

One of the oldest of the Keepers, Skraem is a heavily scarred, blinded Aethyrian dragon with the element of Phobia; his element is the bright, bloody scarlet of the markings on his face, a vibrant hue not found anywhere else on his body. It's said that when he was younger, he could hypnotize prey by using a mixture of his magic and the effect of his markings, so long as his victim was staring into his unblinking eyes. However, since losing his sight, he has all but lost this ability. His disorienting, fear-inducing breath is still something to behold, and despite its fearsome nature, he is a very calm and quiet dragon. Skraem is also one of the few Elder Keepers who has no noble blood whatsoever. He looks with disappointment upon Phobia's current Imperial House, as his cautions are nearly always ignored. His Herald is a severe and stern male named Nymare (NPC), and his Apprentice is a younger female named Lull (NPC).
