Reminded me of a short film my brother worked on called “In the House of the Sin Eater” which was done with puppets.

Sin eating was a practice in countries bordering Wales where someone would eat a meal that contained the sins of a deceased person to absolve them.

I remember that post. Thank you 😄
When I first was watching One Piece, my daughter and I swore the lyrics said “Buckyball” in the middle. You know, at about 1:18

I still hear it when I listen to the song

Blah, blah, blah, blah, Bucky-ball, blah blah bah!

I love the comedic elements with the goofy Space Patrol guy.

I watched ‘66 Ultraman with the great dub after school on a Cleveland, Ohio UHF channel. Still love it
@daebakpodcast.bsky.social Listened to the podcast of “An Atypical Family” which I watched when it came out. Agree with the enthusiasm and plan a rewatch.

I've been borrowing movies/TV shows from the library a lot more recently, and it's really nice! Especially when it comes to stuff that is before the year 2000, which most streaming services treat like poison.
A lot of libraries also have physical media you can check out. Our local system has movies, audiobooks TV etc. I do realize it’s not practical to always do that, but it’s a good option! Also getting involved in your local library & its board can help!
I think a good first step for people would be to see what streaming services they have access to through their local library. I get Kanopy and there is so much good TV content on there that you get for free!
As I continue on my reread of One Piece…
