ほぼ全文覚えるくらい読んでます。
泣けますぜ。

When autumn comes, this one is a must-read.
Robert B. Parker’s Early Autumn. The English edition is on the right.
I’ve read it so many times I’ve nearly memorized the whole book.
It really brings me to tears.

スーパーで割引の1匹200円の大きな鯵3匹入手。
たっぷりのお刺身と骨煎餅。
骨煎餅、一つ食っちまってるし。

I picked up three big horse mackerels at the supermarket, 200 yen each on discount.
Plenty of sashimi and some fried fish bones. Already ate one of the bone crackers.

It was mutton curry.
On the right, they gave me a lentil cracker as a complimentary side.

Today’s dinner is takeout curry,
plus some olives from a certain fancy supermarket.
I’ve had the chance to try many different curries, but for us, this place is the best curry shop in Tokyo.
And the funny thing is—it’s right at our local station!
So happy.

I’m rereading Ray Bradbury’s October Country.
The paperback on the right is worn out from being read too many times, and even the newer one I bought on the left is already tattered.
Looking at the colophon, it says 16th printing, issued on June 14, 1974—already 50 years ago…
