Despite how many crimes he's committed and how he behaves as if there's no law, I still don't believe this happened, for one reason: he does not have friends. It's possible he has an ass-kisser or someone who needs a pardon. But a friend? Impossible.

I think he has made up his mind that he is, in fact, entitled to the job and therefore he has already won it. When the votes show something different he's going to wail and cry and claim it was rigged. In reality, his desperation is showing. I can't wait for him to be gone, and I'm not even a NYer.

It depends on age. If the recipient will understand the reasoning (and agree with it), this would be an idea - but if they're kids, it's not going to achieve anything but causing disappointment. I 100% get what you're aiming for - I'd like to do that myself - and those who can, should.

Decades ago my dad (RIP) said that if the US stopped supporting Israel, it would be a crater inside of 15 minutes, & I think he was right. It started when he torpedoed Hillary Clinton in 2016, because he was butthurt that the Democrats preferred a Democrat as their candidate, not some "independent" who can't pass a bill in Congress. I'm almost 65. When I was young, childhood leukemia was an absolute death sentence. You just didn't recover. Oh, sure, maybe one or two here or there. Now it's between 60-90% survival depending on type.
But tell us again how there are no cures and how doctors didn't try to do anything because $.
