It is the crack epidemic of the 1980s, the heroin epidemic of the 1990s, and the opioid problem of the first 1/5 of the 21st Century rolled into a new package that conveniently hides the external indicators of addiction.

Feels like it would be a better call at this point for the Colts to see if one of Rivers' 500 children can suit up.
Philip Rivers’ workout Monday night with the Colts went well, I’m told.

Nothing has been agreed to yet between the two sides.

I'm not sharing the McDonalds AI slop ad, suffice it to say the real issue at heart is marketing & ad firms gleefully killing off the mechanism (advertising shoots) that has allowed most film industry professionals to eat.

Didn't really pay attention to football yesterday, but kind of incredible that all it takes to knock the Chiefs out of the playoffs is two more wins by the Texans and one more win by the Bills & Jaguars

The Post is floundering out these stories because the congestion charge has been an unequivocal good for the city, which means it's bad for their bottom line. If NYC is doing well, the Post has nothing to write about.
The New York Post ran several stories last week using anecdotal complaints and flimsy, contradictory data to blast the congestion toll, which will hit its one-year anniversary next month. buff.ly/p8lfUM0
Monday's Headlines: Congestion Pricing Edition - Streetsblog New York City
The New York Post has laid the bait for Gov. Hochul on congestion pricing, but will she take it? Plus more news.

Movie you have watched more than six times with a GIF. Hard mode: no Stars Trek or Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney or Pixar animation.

What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

Manual editing on a Steenbeck is up there for me, but also: using a protractor & compass
What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

Lacing up a 6-plate Steinbeck to view a film print to start an edit - and come to that, fixing a cut with tape
What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

Archival research feels like it’s full of these, but then there’s always one throwback archive with a microfiche machine or a paper catalogue (or, indeed: NARA)

The good news for Oscar Piastri is that he has now experienced the brutal heartbreak necessary to become emotionally dead behind the wheel of a car and therefore a champion.

Okay, okay, that moment between Carlos and Lando got me
December 7, 2025 at 2:38 PM
In the end, Lando Norris did exactly what he needed to do to bring home the title, and in the process answered all the questions about driving with pressure. Incredible season from him.
December 7, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Max Verstappen coming within 2 points of winning the Driver's Title in what was, at times, the 4th-best car on the grid is just a preposterous performance. What a drive.
December 7, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Lando Norris has done everything he needs to do to win his first Driver's Title. It is now a matter of bringing it home over 9 1/2 laps
December 7, 2025 at 2:16 PM
I like Yuki, and I'm a skeptic of the Red Bull 2nd Seat, but that defense sort of proved why he's going to be off the grid next season. Bad instincts on when Norris was going to catch him, dangerous defense, and draws a penalty, all just to have Norris pass him anyway.
December 7, 2025 at 1:56 PM
Listen, giving both Norris and Tsunoda a penalty would be incredibly stupid and unsporting, but on the other hand, it would be incredible content.
December 7, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Not a great defense from Yuki. Barring an act of God or Charles Leclerc pulling off something incredible, Lando should cruise to his first title.
December 7, 2025 at 1:40 PM
Somehwere, Vitaly Petrov is smiling
December 7, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Team doesn't even have enough Philly spirit to reduce the positivity rabbit to a pile of rubble.

We are so cooked
It’s never been more over. I like my Eagles folks and take no pleasure in reporting this.

Big opening laps for the "Lando Norris struggles to drive under pressure" crowd
December 7, 2025 at 1:07 PM
Two OH MY GODs out of me already: 1 for the Alonso-Leclerc fight, 1 for Oscar's unreal overtake
December 7, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Okay, prognostications done.

Time to go racing. 57 laps for the F1 Driver's Title.
December 7, 2025 at 12:53 PM
My gut tells me Lando manages to run a comfortable race in P2 or P3 to lock this title up, but that's highly motivated by the assumption that nothing will happen around Yas Marina (because apart from 2021, basically nothing does)
December 7, 2025 at 12:48 PM
If Max Verstappen pulls this off, 2025 would be his most impressive title, and second place on that list wouldn't be remotely close.
December 7, 2025 at 12:45 PM
Max Verstappen just drove one of the greatest qualifying laps in F1 history. He just ran the first two sectors of Yas Marina perfectly.
December 6, 2025 at 3:02 PM
Even with new tires, Lando and Oscar are going to struggle to match the gauntlet Max has thrown down. That 1:22.2 is a monster of a lap.
December 6, 2025 at 2:55 PM
I have never seen someone more in charge of a situation. What a legend.
