Board games are my hobby, but udon is my passion.
Such a cool game!
about six weeks ago, I started running a play-by-post real-time "logistics wargame" I made, called Cataphracts. It started with 5 players, now it has 23. I've tweeted about it a bit, but here's a short blogpost with more thoughts and observations ⬇️ (link below)

Exceptionally well done!
It’s finally here! Mechanisms as Metaphors: How Board Games Create Meaning takes a look at how board games make persuasive arguments, how they might move us emotionally, and how the ways we talk about the form might hinder its development.

🧵 Yesterday I shared my views on how disordered discourse has captured the US state and the risk of that happening elsewhere, but I don’t want to leave you hanging without proposing a solution.
What we’re witnessing in America is what happens when disordered discourse captures a political party, then the state itself. The Republican Party was the first to fall - abandoning truth for conspiracy, ideology for grievance, and policy for performative outrage.

Little board game about gangs of cats fighting each other for the neighborhood I printed for my partner's birthday. My partner did all the art for the cats. The game...sort of works. Playtested exactly one time before printing. The tactility was very fun though!

It's an incredible game. Educational while still being snappy to play.
Folks, it's fun and it's in stock. Grab a copy of Votes for Women for someone on your Christmas list or for yourself (we listen and we don't judge).
