I moved to Minneapolis from Wichita, KS, where there was enormous uproar over the new baseball stadium being built without a large, dedicated parking lot, despite there being, conservatively, 10,000+ parking spots within a 15-minute walk of the stadium downtown.

I think the ghost runner is fine in the regular season when you’re playing six or seven games a week and don’t want to burn teams out with 14+ inning games, but also fine to get rid of it in the playoffs when there are more off days and deeper bullpens with starters who can pitch extras.

It kind of does, but the clause there to note is that she’s prevented from entering an ownership agreement that requires her to give any other person control. She can rent it out, it seems, but she can’t do a rent-to-own agreement, for example.

We went to a CVS Minute Clinic and the doctor said she had to ask if we had underlying conditions to document it, but it wouldn't prevent us from getting the shot if we didn't. We gave our daughter's since she does have one, but didn't for ourselves.

But prices aren't increasing 20% from week to week. Some things go up, some go down, but that's a rate you see over many years. Right now it's more like seeing their grocery bill going from $150 to $155 over the course of a year. And people don't notice that.

Lot of people making anime or foreign film jokes, but 7 of last year's 10 highest-grossing live-action films and 7 of the 10 Best Picture nominees were filmed outside the US. This is either going to tank the film industry or turn us into China where movies film one token scene in the US to win favor

Funny thing: That aerial photo is labeled as "1920s-1930s," but I think I can more precisely date it because my block is shown undeveloped in the photo but the houses were all built in 1924-25.

Weird question on the running through the end zone play: If the punting team commits a penalty before the kick, does the receiving team get an untimed down? I think, "no," right? So why not have all of your blockers just mug the rushers - tackle them if you have to - and avoid any risk?

That feels unfair because his age-21 season was 2020, which was the Covid-shortened season and he “only” had 41 walks in 47 games. His lowest walk total outside that year was 108 in 2019. Give him an extra 67 walks in 2020 and he’d have had 295 before 22.
