If we were a Republic functioning as intended with separation of powers, checks & balances, House Oversight would be conducting an investigation into the Zhao pardon that Trump doesn’t remember, his involvement with Trump’s crypto company, & the foreign investors. But we aren’t.

3 protesters joined us today all the way from Cocke County, along with their puppy Jack. One gentlemen is leaning against his car, holding the dog's leash. A woman is holding a sign and an American flag. Another woman is holding a tambourine, wearing a hat, and wearing bunny ears on top of the hat, her back is to the camera.

A line of protesters outside the Townsend entrance to GSMNP. The one in front is dressed in a giant yellow with red inflatable chicken suit. Fall leave colors are near peak with plenty of orange, red, and bare trees visible.

Hey coalition,

If you've been paying attention to the news this week you know we're coming up on a crucial day for nearly 700,000 Tennesseans and millions of people nationwide. Unless something monumental happens today, SNAP benefits will not go out in November.
To be clear, this is a really big deal. 1 in 8 Americans receives supplemental nutrition assistance (aka $ for food) every month, averaging $6.17 per person per day to be spent on groceries. That might not sound like a lot, but it can easily mean the difference between a healthy meal or not.

So the best grassroots movements are born! And ours started so organically, this founder basically switched their personal account to the "official" one for SRC about 4 months ago when we landed on our name. @src-tn.bsky.social is now our actual, official bluesky page, so give us a follow there!

The best grassroots movements are the ones started by the people who just show up. We couldn't just continue calling ourselves that group of us who have been showing up to protest on the sidewalk in Oak Ridge (too many words, too vague) so, introducing: the Southern Resistance Coalition.
