In undergrad, I kept meeting people who knew who I was, but I didn't remember meeting them (most likely was drunk when I did)

I get that, but it was also 3 years between season 3 and season 4, which I get covid had an impact with that too. But it's like we've seen other shows get seasons out in shorter times
COVID, SAG, a S5 started filming in May 2023 and was shut down due to the strike. They started filming again in early 2024. They spent a year filming.
Stranger Things as a show had the worst season releases. Like why tf did they need 3.5 years between seasons 4 and 5?
