I’m house/barn sitting for my favorite people again. Their horse wasn’t feeling super great yesterday because she decided the water was too cold to drink. 😑😑
So now she has a bucket of alfalfa tea in her stall, but I had to add hot water to it and then stand there and tell her how smart and pretty

Yesterday was her four year homeiversary with us and I forgot. Not to worry - I made sure she got extra German horse muffins and as many kisses as she would tolerate (it’s three)

I asked the trainer if I could buy two flakes of her timothy/orchard hay for our rabbit, Playdoh. (I only have alfalfa and coastal at my barn)
She ended up giving me a full bale - so most of it went to the horses, but we have a VERY happy little bunny right now. She’s so damn adorable 💕

My parents send us gift cards every year for Christmas and my birthday. Except this year they sent them to my old address.

Fabulous Freya is not a particularly affectionate mare. She’s not mean about it - she just knows that people used to be truly awful to her and she’d really rather not be bothered.

I keep coming back and reading this. The barn just isn’t the same without my big red mare.
Strength- you know you’re doing right by Roxie. This isn’t your first rodeo with loss and it will be sad but you have the fortitude to come back even stronger.
