As a GM, I say ditch the mindset that "no" is bad, at the table. "No" can 100% be abused and can stifle fun, that's true. But it's contemptibly narrow-minded to vilify "no". Used skillfully, "no" can inspire creativity, protect the integrity of the table, the game world and the story. (1/6)

How simple would a system have to be to reasonably do this? A one page game? Learning out of a starter box after unboxing it together? Are there measurable criteria for "success," or is it down to, "had fun, everyone wants to play again?"

I'd be down to try. Sounds like a fun challenge on its face.

I had a "What if the lottery" thought about being able to personally fund and produce a weekly TTRPG charity stream with paid players, and we'd give any donations to charity with 100% matching...

I think I've figured out part of the problem. See, in previous years, I wished to be the person people in the AP/VA space want to work with, but I neglected to include "and then actually do work with."

So THIS year, I wish to be someone people in that space work with AND enjoy doing so.
