St Michael’s and All Angels, Torpenhow, a beautiful Norman church virtually untouched by Victorian alterations. It has a remarkable painted wooden ceiling installed in1689 which is completely secular in origin.

Two days of sunshine and very uplifting to see as there’s been none here for days. Beautiful photos of the undulating sand and the digger insect is brilliant. The last star is very special too. Nice to see Hugo. He’s a fine dog and his ear is fab. Good to have an evening read for a change. 💙❤️🤗

Absolutely! Ray is the volunteer Ranger looking after the section of Hadrian’s Wall from Portgate to Heavenfield. He does a fantastic job repairing and clearing up to keep it well maintained.
