I have something of a habit of seeing an interesting opportunity, thinking "oh, go on then, I'll find out more" and - by various circumstances happening - ending up doing the thing I initially only intended on finding out more about. Such it is with my current (main) role.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

What fictional creature/villain traumatized you as a child?

Three come to mind: Zelda from Terrahawks (as Christian points out), the Count from Sesame Street, and this abomination.

[If you don't know who this is, it's Noseybonk from Jigsaw. And if you DO know, I'm sorry for tonight's bad dreams]

On #DoctorWhoDay, I can highly recommend this superb thread by @thesimonc90.bsky.social using Simpsons images/GIFs to describe Doctor Who serials. Some absolutely inspired choices here!
I've had an idea...

Someone told me that cos there are nearly 800 episodes of the Simpsons, it's possible to describe all other shows with a clip from a Simpsons episode. So with that in mind, I'm going to use a freezeframe/gif to describe every classic Dr Who serial 😁 1 season per day...

Dear God, I hate watching and listening back to myself. It's been necessary, and a very worthwhile thing to do, but all I can see/hear is what I did wrong and what I'd change. I'm my own worst critic.

The Wicker Man is one of my all-time favourite movies and this poster for the 50th anniversary release is just sublime :)
Time to keep your appointment with "The Wicker Man"! This is a gorgeous UK quad poster designed for the 50th anniversary of Robin Hardy's folk horror classic.

Fantastic @gimmickspod.bsky.social episode on the superb "Go Flip Yourself" (What We Do In The Shadows). Loved the deep dive into US reality TV history as well. Also loved the bonus ep - I need to see the alternate hypnosis scenes!

Bingewatched The Traitors Ireland in 2 days. Enjoyed it massively. Siobhan McSweeney was inspired casting as host; she was superb. I liked the twists on some of the missions, especially the one that used Irish Gaelic. As usual, some of my faves were got rid of too early (either murdered or banished)

I genuinely didn't think it was possible to love Emma Thompson more, and then she does this... *chef's kiss, no notes*

Hello lovelies! The planned performance of Twinkle on 25/11 at Cardiff Theatre Cafe is postponed due to ongoing work at St. Andrew's Church (future date TBC).

But the performances at Porter's Theatre (27/11 | 28/11) are still going ahead! Tickets available: www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/car...

I've attended two weddings in the past week. Both were utterly joyous affairs with ceremonies and receptions beautifully reflecting the passions and interests of the couples. In both cases, the day was quintessentially "them". A timely reminder in this chaotic world that love exists and love endures

#CardiffTheatre people - Does anyone know of a venue that could accommodate a show next week? Thu 23rd-Sat 25th. Due to a roof collapse in an adjoining building, the current venue is unusable.

Absolutely loving The Celebrity Traitors. Claudia remains her iconic self and the mix of celebs is a good one. Using one of the most iconic tasks in the civilian series (the burial) to reveal the first murdered faithful was a great stroke. Ruth Codd is particularly superb and I'm gripped.

There was no need for David Tennant Mk 2 (14th Doctor) to be a new incarnation. The Power Of The Doctor introduced the idea of degeneration. The Toymaker could have interfered with the 13th Doctor's regeneration and- oh dear- here's 10 again! Still have him reunite with Donna, just as 10 not 14.
Tell me your most unhinged Doctor Who opinion. I mean, if you’re a fan, they’re likely all unhinged anyway.

A little bit of good news - hubby and I will be going to Edinburgh for the Fringe next year. We'll be there from Sunday 9th August to Monday 17th August. Exciting!
