I think a lot of people don't realize how much strength it takes to pull yourself out of a dark mental place. If you've done that today, or any day, I'm proud of you and you should be proud of yourself.
I have been voting by mail since Covid struck, but I used to have to stand in line every time I voted before that.

Seems like just a few days ago that Trump declared everlasting peace in the region thanks to his brilliance.

Fernanda was violently g_ng r_ped by 7 men. But no worries, her HUSBAND was compensated $11k for what she went through. WTF?
I wasn't saying that there aren't too many people who don't vote, just that the number isn't as high as people think it is.
How many of those "did not vote" numbers actually represent suppressed votes?

Uh, being compared to Marjorie Taylor Greene of all people on CNN? Not on my bingo card.

Real talk tho: Keeping our tax dollars here to feed kids, build schools, and provide healthcare instead of sending it abroad to subsidize genocide…should be standard DEMOCRATIC platform.

If Moses brought the House back into session, the 1st order of business would be to swear in the newest elected Democrat, Adelita Grijalva. The 2nd order of business would be to vote on release of the Epstein files. The 3rd order would be to release them. The votes are there. That’s why #USDemocracy

Angelo Elia, a congressional staffer for Rep Dave Taylor (R-OH), appeared on Zoom with an swastika American flag behind him—just a day after thousands of antisemitic & racist GOP staffer texts surfaced.

Republicans have a Nazi problem & they don’t care.

Tip of the iceberg.

Obama failed by pushing ACA. He did want bipartisan support. Not a single Republican voted for it.

The Republicans refused to even consider the ACA unless there was built-in profit for Insurance companies. Obama let them have it, not for votes, but to keep them from using procedural blocks.

So the question is still the same: why does healthcare have to be so complicated?

The answer: it doesn’t. Other countries have figured out how to make it much simpler, less expensive, and more effective.

Now that I’m on Medicare, I still have that enrollment period agony, because I have Medicare Advantage.

I have an expensive eyeglass prescription, which regular Medicare doesn’t cover. Until our government considers eyes, ears, and teeth as part of the human body, I have no choice but Advantage.

When I had insurance through ADA, every year around this time I had to spend hours comparing the changes in the plan I had chosen with other plans to see which was the best deal. Every year I wondered why health care funding had to be so complicated.
