When I was in Japan a decade ago, I stayed at an international travel-themed hotel in Ikebukuro. They sold food inspired by many countries. The "America" dish was a mountain of mini corn dogs with an American flag stuck on top. I still think about this almost daily.

I saw a video of someone deep in the paint about how little investigation there has actually been into his death, calling it a conspiracy... and I think maybe they underestimate the simple fact that the fascists did not actually care about that dude.

Yes, you should be surprised and horrified by secret federal police running around our city kidnapping immigrants, crashing cars, launching chemical weapons and shooting and killing people. This is a thing you should be *perpetually* shocked by. We lose when we become numb to it.

This is far from the worst part about ICE occupation, but helicopter noise every day is annoying as hell. We are all just trying to enjoy an autumn morning, we don't need the constant sound of warfare. Park the military aircraft and enjoy a corn maze with your family or something.

If you combine them WITH the ICE presence here every day (literally in my neighborhood today), the show of force is a lot bigger. I'm happy for today's ruling, but I don't expect the average person to rejoice that their kidnapper isn't one specific flavor.

Under this reasoning, there is no theoretical limit on the violence spiral of the federal government breaking the law to abuse residents in order to seize control and enact even more violence when people inevitably resist abuse.
