We’ve been travelling up and down the country to build a new kind of political party — one that is built from the grassroots.

Be part of our mass movement for real change at yourparty.uk
True, but even if it's withdrawing the whip, there would be some recourse for an MP's local constituency party members to sanction them. But maybe YP MPs and cllrs should be expected to sign up to an undertaking to resign their seat if they leave the party or lose a recall ballot.
I agree the barrier to recall should bear factional manoeuvrings in mind. I think the actual ballot to recall should be 50% or even higher, but it would be almost impossible for a petition to call the ballot to hit 40% of all members.
40% of a meeting maybe, but engagement levels of a mass party is unlikely to be high enough to ever get 40%. The higher the level is, the more of an established class the officialdom will become. MPs at least will have mandatory reselection at the end of their term.
Something quite important in #YourParty IMO is recallability. The draft docs suggest recall petitions for MPs, councillors, officers, etc. need 40% of all members at that level to trigger a ballot. I'd prefer similar to Scottish Greens, which is 10%, or TUs at 20%. Thoughts?

I don't think this lot get enough credit for their achievements

So congratulations to Labour's top team, from a huge commons majority handed to them on a plate, to a nasty, right wing, authoritarian, soulless rump of a party, in thrall to corporate lobbyists, almost universally despised

Well done!
When will the Green Party's meteoric rise in membership level off?

What are the true numbers of the other parties? (We'll find out Labour's when the deputy leadership contest result is announced.)

Where will YourParty fit in this graph when launched?
Labour should stop campaigning
Starmer is not on the left, so there's no media circus about this; they are happy to leave it as 'somewhat opaque'

Two men plead not guilty over fires at homes linked to PM

The judge said the circumstances of the alleged offences were "somewhat opaque"

The charges relate to a vehicle fire and blazes at properties linked to Sir Keir Starmer.

It's not just the Caerphilly Senedd by-election, but every single recent by-election and poll show that there is no longer any such thing as a safe Labour seat

The liar and fraud, Sir Keir Starmer has trashed the party, its policies and the brand

I had a wonderful day at Manor Gardens for the launch of our "You Belong in Islington" campaign.

This is about creating a message of unity across our borough, celebrating the voices of refugees, migrants, LGBTQ+ communities, and all those who have made Islington their home!
The BBC's recent consultation of users had >873k responses

In the highest % response, 91% said it is important for the BBC to be independent from the gov't of the day

Only 43% thought it actually was independent

The BBC & gov't are failing badly on media independence

Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel continues to slaughter Palestinians in Gaza.

The egregious breaches of the so-called peace plan cannot be ignored and those responsible must be brought to justice.

Jeremy Bowen:

‘...Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank who are fed up with war.’

‘Fed up with war’?

What a crass choice of words from Bowen.

The surviving Palestinians are deeply traumatised by the *genocide* that Israel has been inflicting on them.

Since 1980, the ECHR has heard just 29 UK immigrant deportation case, and the UK won 16 of them. Quitting will make no material difference to immigration, just weaken protections for absolutely everybody in this country. But Farage and the Tories know that.

The erroneously named "Campaign Against Antisemitism" says a failure to ban practically ALL protests in solidarity with Palestinians means "the blood of British Jews is on the hands of politicians".

This is horrifying rhetoric in the current moment, from an extremist pro-Israel group

The highest electricity prices in the world, the highest train fares in Europe and rivers full of sewage. It's almost as if privatisation was fundamentally flawed.
