gotta love the oscillating loop between "this is so cool" and "this idea is stupid and absolutely no one will ever find this useful"

I built my own little supply chain 🚛

I discover amazing products at links.supply

Then add them to my personal directory product.now

Like this;
product.now/product/hocket

Domains represent potential.

One of my hobbies is looking at recently expired domains and marvelling at what this person could possibly have wanted to do with it.

Today's favourites are;

bum.sex
hunk.domains
egg.haus
pole.monster
fany.email
clot.website
hugs.fun
angel.reviews

Homer Simpson's website in 2000

Homer's Web Page was a website created by Homer Simpson in The Simpsons episode The Computer Wore Menace Shoes (S12E06).

The website was restored by Pisa and Skavenger.

The internet is so ephemeral.

Just switched screenshot API providers for product.now and have had to regenerate all screenshots from URLs

So many dead projects ☠️

I've added a muted keywords list to filter out all non-cool project related links from links.supply

Every morning I take 5 minutes and prune links that slip through.

I'm finding sooooo many cool projects everyday now - ppl are so amazing.

I've lived an ad-free online existence for years and just used a browser without native ad blockers and

oh. my. god.

ads are videos now?!

and they're everywhere!?

Nothing quite like having a cup of coffee, petting your dog, and trawling through the morning's links.supply

This might be one of my favorite side projects ever

Next I need to add a keyword filter to block all political links once and for all

Extended the daily links.supply to 30 and am automatically detecting and filtering broken links before they hit the homepage 🤞

It now fetches metadata and 404s, timeouts, or no titles get marked as "broken" and hidden.

Thanks to @theboxfactoryhq.bsky.social for the feedback!
