Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, a day every Nov 20 when our community honors those lost, particularly due to violence and suicide. The first day of its kind was in 1999, following the year Rita Hester was murdered. If you honored somebody today, you're not alone and a whole community is with you.

1. This week, news emerged that former trans athlete, student at Middlebury, and advocate for trans rights, Lia Smith, was found dead.
Her death was ruled a suicide.
But I argue that it's not only a suicide. Every trans suicide is a murder by those in power.

Just witnessed someone trying to fireb*mb Fletcher’s Ice Cream in NE. Saw a dude acting weird next to a parked car in front of the place. I walked by, heard a smash through my earbuds, smelled gasoline/kerosine. Turned around, snapped some photos instinctively. Thankfully they suck at molot*vs.
