We honor the legacy of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a fierce protector of our collective freedom. Our hearts are with her loved ones and all who carry her vision forward.

"We will honor Miss Major forever." - @imarajones.bsky.social
An illustration of Miss Major surrounded by candles with blue background and a famous quote of hers written in gold. The quote reads“I don’t need their permission to exist; I exist in spite of them. I want you to train and teach and love on and create families within my community and gender non-conforming people, so that we can understand that we have a culture, we have a history, we have a reason to be here. We have a purpose. We’re entitled to be loved, and seek happiness, and share that with the people that we care about.” -Miss Major Griffin-Gracy
This image from @translifeline.org has a pink and blue background and features an image of Randy Burns, co-founder of Gay American Indians (GAI).
On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor those native to Turtle Island and also center Two-Spirit people. Today, the term means different things to different people, but is an umbrella term for gender diverse people. Visit our resource library to learn more and find resources for Two-Spirit people.
It's so important to know your rights when protesting. @aclutx.bsky.social is offering virtual training on Wed. October 15th at 6:30pm CT!
Whether we’re out in the streets or supporting from afar, Texans have a right to protest.

Learn more about your protest rights by attending one of our upcoming virtual Know Your Rights trainings — register at aclutx.org/events.
This is great information from @translifeline.org . Thank you for putting it together!
Attention: Trans allies <3 We’ve compiled resources, answers to common questions, and suggestions on how to support trans people now. The most important thing you can do for a trans person is show your support for them with *action*. Growth is the goal - not perfection. heyimtrans.com/cheat-sheet/
These graphics from @gladlaw.bsky.social are a beautiful reminder that even when times are hard, you are wonderful and you deserve to have your story told. <3

The fight for trans rights is ALL our fight. 🏳️‍⚧️

Share with 3 friends who support trans rights. ✊

Purple graphic with text that reads, "I fight for trans rights." Purple graphic with quote from statement by Lambda Legal's Interim Chief Legal Officer. Text reads, "Let’s be clear: We are not backing down. Trans rights are human rights. Our government is failing in its duty to shield the most vulnerable among us. But we are here to help protect you." Purple graphic with text from statement that reads, "Our lawyers are fighting back. We have so far sued the Trump Administration 6 times over its anti-LGBTQ executive actions. And we have won court orders in 5 cases so far protecting these communities as our lawsuits proceed." Purple graphic with text from statement that reads, "Our values are unwavering: every human being deserves safety, respect, and the freedom to live with pride and dignity as who they are. We will keep fighting until those values are the lived reality for every trans person."

On Nov. 9, hundreds of us are coming together for the UWD 2025 Digital Congress. Young people, working people, organizers—building power, learning strategies, connecting across generations.

There is no surviving this moment on our own. We have to have each other's backs.

BREAKING: We just filed a second lawsuit against Texas school districts that have posted or plan to display the Ten Commandments — despite a federal court’s ruling that S.B. 10 is a clear violation of the separation of church and state.

Public schools are for educating, not evangelizing.

HHS put out a plan called the Make America Healthy Again Strategy last week. It says what some people in the government think needs to happen for kids in America to get healthier. Our explainer talks about what is in the strategy and the problems with it. autisticadvocacy.org/2025/09/expl...
Textured grey background. Blue text reads: Explaining the Make America Healthy Again Strategy. Formal language and plain language statement on website. Textured grey background with blue box. Text inside reads: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) put out a plan called the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Strategy last week. The MAHA Strategy says what some people in the U.S. government think needs to happen for children in America to get healthier.

The way the MAHA strategy talks about sick kids shows that HHS doesn’t understand the problems sick kids have. The MAHA Strategy will:
Spread wrong health information
Make rules that make it harder to get vaccines
Make it harder to get medications for people with ADHD and mental health disabilities
Give money to badly-made studies that spread wrong health information
ASAN thinks the leader of HHS, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.), should not get to lead HHS. He is bad at his job, and his ideas hurt people. ASAN will keep saying that RFK Jr. should not be the Secretary of HHS. We will also keep talking to people in the government who make decisions.

SHAMEFUL: The new immigrant detention center at Fort Bliss already has 60 violations — according to ICE’s own inspectors.

🔴It failed to treat medical conditions.
🔴It lacked procedures to keep detainees safe.
🔴It didn’t provide access to lawyers.

No one should experience this cruelty.
ICE report finds 60 violations in 50 days at Fort Bliss migrant facility in El Paso, Texas
A report by ICE inspectors outlined numerous violations in the Fort Bliss detention center ad plans continue for its expansion.

@nooroodle.bsky.social has wise words for us
lemme spell it out more clearly: white american trans folk you NEED to learn the history of this country and you NEED to practice optimism in a radical way

we will find solutions via community efforts but you you have to be realistic about what you can and can’t do to help yourself and others
ngl it’s getting somewhat difficult to hear people coming from high places of privilege struggle with experiencing marginalization for the first time (I say this knowing that a lot of people here, including myself, experience both) mainly cause they can’t fully let go of their previous viewpoints

Families are being separated and children are losing their parents.

This is happening in our communities, to our neighbors.

We have the power to change this story, but only if we act together.
