Thanks to Owen for organising and inviting me on my most fun dig yet! Echoing the thanks to my amazing volunteers who hauled dirt and drew too many contexts. When's next season?
2 weeks, 2000+ bulk finds, ≈140 small finds, 60ish contexts, 3 trenches, 2 buildings, and 180ish years of archaeology later my first ever dig as site director concluded today!

Was at two of these today and despite over 100 staff and students demanding the University resolutely support trans people, it is very clear the Uni wishes to "both sides" trans rights and give space for bigots to be part of the group deciding how to implement segregation at the Uni.
I am attending multiple meetings with University of York about the EHRC Guidance. These meetings, whilst open to staff and students, are not open to the wider York community or stakeholders who may attend Uni of York events. I want these people heard too. So please contact me if you have anything...

Trans women ARE biologically women and no biased court can stop that basic fact from being true. Sex is a homeostatic property cluster containing an array of primary, secondary, and tertiary sexual characteristics. Trans people can and do change sex
