Oct 14, 1990: former Canadian Pacific Railway 4-6-2 steam locomotive No. 1201 is retired after an excursion between Ottawa and Hawkesbury, Ontario. Built at CP's Angus Shops in 1944, No. 1201 was withdrawn from service in 1960. It was restored at the John Street roundhouse in 1976. 1/3

I stopped by Keelesdale Station and took photos of buses inside of the loop.

The LRT is not opened yet, but the TTC rerouted northbound 41 Keele/941 Keele Rocket trips and eastbound trips on the new 164 Castlefield to stop inside of the loop.

Streetcar service ended on Bay Street in 1965.

However, in the 1970s a confluence of events resulted in the electric wires coming back up again. But it wasn't streetcars that were returning. Instead, trolley buses were making their first foray into Downtown Toronto.
