Colleen Jones asked me to interview her a couple of months ago during a chemotherapy appointment.

She told me to write one heck of a story. I hope I did her proud.

About always believing something wonderful is about to happen.

It would be an awesome holiday miracle if we could get some goaltending for the Oilers.

So sorry to hear of Colleen's passing. She is a legend and was such a positive, delightful person. She was a volunteer during my time working with the 2011 Canada Games. May she rest in peace. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Can I read Hamnet in time before being drawn in to see the movie? 🤞I have about 30 TBR fiction books for this winter & decided today is the perfect weather for reading.

Sometimes it feels like I have all of Lois Hole park to myself on my ride & other times, I get to watch coyotes walking on ice in the distance. 😁 #yegbike

The best way to kick a headcold after 6 days is to go for a bike ride, right? 🤞 Such a beautiful afternoon, albeit a windy one, to ride on neighbourhood trails. #yegbike

There is only one person who could convince me to record a podcast on a train or make me laugh by asking awkward questions about council's interest in transit in front of councillors & that's @troypavlek.ca. Going to miss your voice on Speaking Municipally.

I can't get used to the "Monday night" Prime NHL broadcast. It's so weird.

I've got a long list of follow ups from attending the national transit conference. Loved hearing Marco Chitti present about the high costs of North American transit projects, as an ex. transitcosts.com/about/. Also appreciated hearing people say Edmonton is punching above its weight for transit. 1/2

Riding transit in other cities like a mystery shopper. Montreal, your faring system (how many zones am I using?) & fare gates were confusing- where do I scan the ticket? No wait, I have to insert the ticket. Thankfully, fellow riders helped me out. 🙌

In Montreal for the next few days. I've already been on two walks, got my Bixi bike pass & cycled, visited a bookstore & over caffeinated. 😂

Highly recommend booking immunizations through 811 instead of using the very confusing website. Called this morning, vaccinated this afternoon. 🙌

This!!!
“We need to start considering the role of care in our daily lives—all the unpaid tasks that are the essential foundation of society, and our economy couldn’t function without them. But cities are so focused on the commute to work they forget about the mobility of care.”
