I find horror “payoffs” less satisfying than the buildup to those reveals. You gotta cook that dread. The audience that likes slow horror will always be smaller than the quick and dirty crowd, but they can have their fun too.

I just experienced my first drive-by barking while taking my nightly walk with Sophie. Small dog, too. I wonder if they took a different way home or that dog just needed to go for a spin and work some stuff out.

My interest in season 4 was low but I figured I’d made it this far, might as well see it through, and when I got into it I WAS HOOKED. So it’ll take a bit to drum up my interest again but I imagine it will be worth the journey. It’s always fun when a show tries to wrap it all up.

I was thinking last night (as I often do this time of year) about The Nightmare Before Christmas PS2 game, and how that, and Kingdom
Hearts, are the only times we went back to Halloweentown in a meaningful way. But unless you have that disc and a PS2 or 3, no dice!
