Because why not, y’know?
the union circle multiplayer also probably played into it a bit too, needing to load in whatever models on top of the annoying physics for each player could be the issue

LRT: Stealth40K being the Geraldo Rivera of gaming news on a day ending in ‘Y’ continues again.
you can literally go check the status of each bill right now. they’ve only been read and referred to committee, with no announced committee date

people like Palmer Luckey understand, either explicitly or implicitly, that retro tech and retro games are an accessible pathway to right wing radicalization. the politics of "remember the past when things were simpler and better?" are only a few steps removed from MAGA, unless you're very careful
a reminder that ModRetro is run by Palmer Luckey, a huge Trump backer, a self described "radical Zionist," and, quite literally, an arms dealer via his other company, Anduril
In other words, the only bill to make noise about right now is Stop CSAM, because it left committee and is headed toward the Senate. The rest of the bills have been entirely forgotten about for months - and are very likely political posturing from assholes like Mike Lee, who passes very few bills
Only one of these bills has progressed passed being read (doesn’t indicate whether it’ll actually be voted on in committee). I know the intentions are good here but the highest pressure target should *always* be the one up for house/senate vote - reps can’t do anything until then and will forget.
honestly once you get a later upgrade this game is basically a 3d platformer, super fun to do janky stuff that wasn’t intended. tracking lines of rooftops to see where the entry point is feels identical to looking for the start of a memory token challenge in frontiers

game good
legends z-a is the second sonic frontiers-like by nintendo this year, a genre defined by the main gameplay loop being “how do i get up there”

Online Multiplayer is a compelling feature for many games. With some titles falling out of popularity, many lobbies have been deserted.

I’ll explore some of these abandoned rooms and search for ghosts in my latest video… 👻
doing a study on people who buy things solely because they’re culturally relevant. there’s gotta be some overlap between them and people who buy games and play like 2 hours of them before letting them rot on their shelf
“should i buy this thing? i don’t want it”
oh also if you got the physical version of Z-A there’s a little leaflet with a type chart inside
z-a does do this! the symbol on the attack button is different based on effectiveness. triangle for not very effective, X for ineffective, hollow circle for regular effectiveness, circle with another circle inside for super effective
two birds, one stone
birds die really bad from thunderstorms
birds can’t fly if they’re frozen

in not* hiring voice actors. i’m tired (because i stayed up until 3 AM playing the very good video game)
game good but yeah, as always, this is a problem
maybe someone at game freak keeps making scenes where the lack of voice acting is extremely evident because they want to make their bosses less and less justified in hiring voice actors
